Kinesiology taping at Suncoast

Dr. Kari applies elastic therapeutic tape to selected areas of the body, with placement guided by your symptoms and movement goals.

Flexible support

The tape stretches with the body rather than holding a joint rigid. It can complement a broader plan for muscle or joint discomfort.

Your appointment

We discuss the area that bothers you, daily activity, and any recent injury. Dr. Kari checks the skin and explains the application before placing the tape.

Planning your visit & more details

Realistic expectations

Some people find taping helpful for short-term comfort during movement. Research results vary by condition and application; benefits are not guaranteed.

Skin comes first

Mention adhesive reactions, fragile skin, or an existing rash. Tape should not be applied over broken or irritated skin. If it itches, burns, or causes redness, remove it and contact the clinic.

After your visit

Follow the wear and removal instructions for your application. Review whether it helped your chosen activity, and discuss persistent or worsening symptoms before another application.

Where it fits

Taping can complement other care. It does not replace injury assessment, prescribed rehabilitation, or a brace when one is needed.

Planning your visit

A little clarity

Your questions, answered.

What is kinesiology taping?

Elastic adhesive tape is applied over selected muscles or joints to provide flexible support while allowing movement.

How long should I wear it?

Dr. Kari explains wear time, bathing, activity, and removal for your application. Remove it if itching, burning, redness, or discomfort develops, and contact the clinic.

Is it the same as a brace?

No. Flexible tape does not immobilize a joint or replace a prescribed brace, rehabilitation, or assessment of an injury.
