What brings you here?
Choose an example to prepare for your visit—not to determine which treatment you need.
Make comfort the goal
A foot- or hand-focused session may appeal if you enjoy gentle touch. You can value the experience without treating a traditional organ map as a medical finding.
“Can we keep the pressure gentle and focus on comfort?”
Describe pain before pressure
Standing-related discomfort and an injury are different situations. Tell the practitioner where it hurts and whether there is swelling, numbness, or a wound.
“Does this need assessment before a hands-on session?”
Understand your session
Dr. Kari can explain how traditional reflexology maps inform the session and how pressure is selected around your comfort. Discuss what you would like from the appointment.
“How will you choose the areas and pressure for my session?”
What reflexology is
At Suncoast, reflexology uses focused pressure on selected areas of the feet or hands. Traditional reflexology maps associate those areas with other parts of the body. Your session centers on attentive touch, comfortable pressure, and your preferences.
Touch and your feedback
Touch and pressure stimulate sensory receptors and shape the hands-on experience. Let Dr. Kari know which areas feel tender and how much pressure is comfortable.
What it may help you with
People often choose reflexology for relaxation and a comfortable pause. Evidence for treating specific medical conditions is limited, and traditional foot or hand maps are not validated organ diagnostic tools. The session focuses on comfortable touch and your preferences.
Planning your visit & more details
How it could fit your preferences
You may prefer a foot- or hand-focused appointment over full-body bodywork. Tell the practitioner which areas you want avoided, whether pressure is comfortable, and whether you want a gentler approach. You do not need to tolerate painful pressure.
What to expect
We help you settle into a comfortable position, explain the areas being treated, and review any lotion or oil before application. Pressure is adjusted to your feedback. Tell us about ticklishness, tenderness, or recent injury so the session can be adapted.
When to assess the foot first
New swelling, persistent localized pain, a wound, or a recent injury needs attention before pressure is applied. Mention circulation problems, neuropathy, diabetes-related foot concerns, skin infections, and blood-thinning medicines.
What a useful response looks like
Notice comfort during the session and whether it supports the experience you wanted. Organ charts and soreness are not evidence of improvement in another body system. Keep necessary medical evaluation and treatment in place.
Planning your visit
Tell us about pressure preferences, product allergies, mobility needs, and any foot or hand conditions when you book. We explain the appointment and pricing, and help you choose a restorative option that suits you.
